GENERAL INFORMATION
Registration
The enclosed registration form should be filled in and returned to the
Organizing Secretariat no later than November 20th, 2006. Registration can
be guaranteed only after receipt of the respective fee. A certificate of
attendance will be issued upon request.
Conference material
A CD containing the Proceedings will be provided to delegates at the
registration desk at the beginning of the Symposium.
Official languages
The official language of the Conference will be English. Simultaneous
translation into Italian will be provided.
Symposium venue
The Symposium will take place in Venice at Cini Foundation hall, on the
island of San Giorgio Maggiore, just in front of Piazza San Marco. Cini
Foundation is one of the most prestigious conference venues in Italy and
welcomed important international meetings and G7 summits. On the island
monumental buildings such as the church and the refectory are the work of
the greatest architect of the Veneto Renaissance, Andrea Palladio. The
buildings contain masterpieces by Tintoretto, Veronese and Carpaccio.
A public boat service connects Piazza San Marco with the island every ten
minutes (the trip lasts 5 minutes). Timetable and more information are
available on the Symposium web page.
