International workshop about bio energy

EUBIONET II and IEA task 40 organize an international workshop about bio energy the 19th and 20th of February 2007 in Rotterdam the Netherlands. This workshop addresses biomass trade, sustainability and energy from waste.

This workshop follows the successful workshop EUBIONET II organized last year the 30th of January (see for conclusions www.eubionet.net).

Goal of the current workshop is to contribute to better bio energy policies in Europe with focus on the following subjects:

    * Biomass trade and market trends
    * Sustainability criteria for bio energy chains
    * New developments in bio energy policies
    * The potential for energy from waste

The target group of the workshop are national and international policy makers in the EU, energy companies and traders. The number of participants is limited.

The workshop will take place the 19th of February in Rotterdam (with a speech by our President Heinz Kopetz) with an excursion to a Gasification plant of Essent the next day.
