The Nordic countries have come a long way in the area of intelligent, renewable energy systems. Nordic Bioenergy 2009, provides an excellent forum to share this knowledge, and learn from key stakeholders in the international arena of bioenergy. The conference has a political and technical agenda with focus on business and business opportunities.

Political Programme
Nordic Bioenergy 2009 will open by setting the scene for the future of the bioenergy business, discussing the political challenges of ensuring a viable and competitive bioenergy industry in the Nordic countries as well as in the European Union. A group of acknowledged industry leaders and organisations will then discuss the possibilities arising from post-Kyoto scenarios with representatives from Aebiom, the World Bioenergy Association and the European Commission.

Technical Programme
The technical programme include the topics Future Bioenergy Markets, Liquid Biofuels, Biogas, Pellets and Woodchips, Combined Heat and Power, Waste and Combustion, Security of Biomass Demand, Agriculture as Biomass Supplier, and Algae. For those interested in seeing the technologies in actual operation there are study tours arranged for you to visit, a number of Danish companies which opens their doors for the participants in Nordic Bioenergy 2009.
