Severní Korea: Rozvoj větrných elektráren

Towns and rural communities in mountainous and coastal areas of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea have introduced wind power generators of different capacities to produce electricity for their own use.

Some ri seats and villages in Kim Chaek City, North Hamgyong Province have exploited wind to generate electricity needed for  houses and entertainment.

Wind power generators have been installed in newly built modern dwellings in the suburbs of the city.

Many west coastal areas and some cities and counties including Kaesong City and Hyangsan County, North Phyongan Province, too, benefit from  generators.

The Electricity Research Institute of the State Academy of Sciences has developed wind power generators with a high efficiency.
